I just want to remind you that you are CALLED, CAPABLE, & QUALIFIED because of the GOD you serve. To even think for a split second that you don't have what it takes, is a slap in God’s face. To even think for a split second that you won't get over this mountain, is an insult to our God! His POWER, his ABILITY, his WISDOM runs through your mind, body, and soul. Don’t forget that there is NOT A THING, NOT AN ISSUE, NOT A MOUNTAIN, NOT A CHALLENGE on this planet that you have to do without access to God’s power.

Remember these things because 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tell us "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ."

With that being said, I have a tool for you to consider. Every time you get a negative thought, write down ONE thing God that has delivered you from and ONE thing he has blessed you with. For every negative thought, write down a counter to that. Push yourself to do it every single time you get a negative thought.

Another thing I encourage you to do is to pray prayers such as:

“God, I am having a hard time changing my perspective and finding joy and peace in this place/season/time. I don't know how to change that. Change it for me because only you can.”

Pray this over and over. Set an alarm to remind you to pray it. Set alarms with random times and insert Bible Verses and other encouragements. You can even set an alarm that says something as simple as "Breathe. God is fighting for you."

If you do not STAY ARMED (through prayer, reading God’s Word, etc.) then you leave yourself (especially your MIND) vulnerable and exposed to attacks. Without being armed, you are literally walking out of your home NAKED and EXPOSED, which allows Satan to have his way with your mind. Here's what the Bible has to say about just that:

Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.' Ephesians 6:10-18.

Remember this verse because it is MORE than just a verse. It is a God breathed TRUTH about YOUR LIFE.

You may also write Bible Verses on sticky notes all of over your desk, mirror, planner, etc. Things like “GOD HAS HEALED ME. I DONT HAVE TO OPERATE IN PAIN.” And “GOD HAS PLANS FOR ME.” And “I AM HERE BECAUSE THIS IS GODS WILL. I WILL ALLOW GOD TO USE ME AND WILL BE JOYFUL WHILE I AM HERE.” "THIS SEASON IS NECESSARY FOR MY GROWTH AND PREPARATION." ETC. Customize it to your specific battles and situations.

Sis, also I have to make it a point to state that it is okay to tell God that you are tired of fighting these battles. Tell God that you need him to fight on your behalf! Remind him of his Word and his promises to you. The Bible says that YOUR LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU! So rest! SEEK HIS PEACE! You don't even have to fight! God fights for you, BUT YOU must stand your ground and move with intentionality.

See the many verses below where God says he will fight for you. I encourage you to look them up and hold them close to your heart:

  • Exodus 14:14

  • Deuteronomy 3:22

  • Deuteronomy 20:4

  • Joshua 23:10

  • Deuteronomy 1:30

Rooting for you
Praying for you
In your corner.
